MOTRA 2.0 is now live, and this is easily the biggest update we’ve shipped so far.
This release brings $MOT token rewards into the app, with rewards starting on May 1st. The presale opens at the same time, so everything is now lined up for users to start earning from their effort. It finally feels real after building this for so long.
At a high level, it works like this. You train as normal, we track your effort using heart rate, and convert that into Effort Points (EP). At the end of each month, rewards are distributed based on your share of total EP across all users. So it’s not about being the fastest, it’s about how much effort you actually put in. The app now shows your projected reward live, so you can see where you stand as the month progresses.
To support this, we’ve added the new rewards drawer across Home, Activities, and Wallet. It shows your $MOT balance, monthly EP, projected rewards, and the current rewards-period status. There’s also a new How Rewards Work screen that breaks down the full Train, Earn, Convert flow, plus EP values for each heart-rate zone and a proper FAQ.
A big part of this update was making sure all of this actually works properly in the background. Workouts now sync more reliably, data updates faster across the app, and your rewards and progress stay in sync without you needing to think about it, which is exactly how it should feel.
Android has been brought fully in line with 2.0 as well, with the same rewards system, UI, and fixes. It is now just waiting on Play Store approval, and we are expecting it to go live any minute.
There’s still more to come, but this was a big one to get out.
